Time Commitment
The clinic is open every Wednesday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and every Thursday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Volunteers can choose to work in 2 or 4-hour shifts weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.

Volunteer opportunities:
Receptionist: The receptionists main responsibilities are to: greet patients when they arrive at the Mary Rose Clinic, prepare new patient charts, update existing charts, schedule patient follow-up and to assist in opening and closing the clinic. We need one or two receptionists each clinic night.
Nurse: The nurses at the Mary Rose Clinic greet patients, gain vitals, carefully complete charting needs, ask the patient the reason for the visit, and provide general nursing care to our patients. The nurses also provide support to the doctors as needed.
Doctor: The doctors provide general healthcare at the Mary Rose Clinic. Each doctor brings a unique set of skills and abilities. Our doctors work together to bring the best services possible to the Mary Rose Clinic.
Office support: The office support workers mainly provide data entry. The ability to understand medical terminology is required.
Prescription Assistance: This service is offered to patient who require an expensive ongoing medication. The staff assists the patient in finding a patient assistance program through the pharmaceutical company that offers the medication that is needed.
Referral partners: As needs arise we have established relationships with partners to help us meet the healthcare needs of our patients. Some are volunteers and some offer a sliding scale fee for service. Our current partners are; Cancer Screening, limited dental care, therapy, and other various medical specialties.
Health Education Programs: We welcome conversations with local groups who provide these programs. We currently offer these services through our partners for smoking cessation and diabetes education. |
